Biologist / ichthyologist, member of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece since March 1995 (Reg. No. 5-00333).

Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Sofia, with an M.Sc. in ichthyology (1992); also is a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ALBA (2002) and an M.Sc. in Public Policy and Public Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business (2015).

High-ranking executive in the fish-farming sector for 15 years (1995-2009), at the leading company in the sector “SELONDA AQUACULTURE S.A.”, with wide experience and knowledge of the aquaculture industry. From 2009 a member of staff at the Hellenic Ministry of Rural Development & Food, at the General Directorate of Fisheries, hence uniquely combining private and public sector’s experience.
